Energy Audits

Weatherization & Remediation

Learn about our three step approach to energy efficiency and solar energy:

First, our BPI certified clean energy consultants will determine the efficiency of your home or commercial building by providing a professional energy audit and recommending energy efficiency improvements. Our Energy Audits average about $400.

Second, we perform the efficiency upgrades we recommend and always offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. You’ll soon enjoy a home that’s comfortable and efficient. These upgrades typically average between $1500 and $2500.

Third, we provide a free Solar Site Assessment for anyone receiving an energy audit. Our clean energy consultants assess your location for solar shading and provide a thorough report of the expected solar production. We customize solar electricity systems, solar hot water systems, or both to fit your needs and our team does the install, takes care of the permits, and guides you through every incentive available to you.

Solar energy is clean, quiet, and safe and we guarantee our systems for 20 years. Act now to take advantage of Federal and State incentives that can pay for up to 50% of the cost. We are unique because Continuum helps you become energy efficient first, and solar energy independent next. Continuum Energy Solutions, your energy efficiency and solar energy experts.

Mandatory RPS for VA to be discussed in Richmond General Assembly

SB 450 will likely be discussed in committee this Monday morning Feb. 1, 2010.  Many studies have shown that many sustainable jobs can be created and have been created by states who have adopted a mandatory RPS.  Check out the studies below and let’s start the discussion on the pros and cons of mandatory RPS.  Most important of all, by Friday let Senator Saslaw, the committee chair and the senate majority leader, know you have seen the RPS studies his Legislative aide has seen and feel that this bill can be a big job creator in Virginia.

Virginia has mandatory RPS proposed in the current session: http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?ses=101&typ=bil&val=sb450&Submit2=Go

These three links are detailed studies regarding job creation from Mandatory RPS implementation.

Scott Surovell, our 44th District Delegate Gets a CES Energy Audit

This weekend, CES provided an energy audit for Mr. Surovell. Afterward, he blogged about his experience:

http://scottsurovell.blogspot.com/2010/01/mount-vernons-delegate-gets-energy.html

Scott did an excellent job of detailing exactly what an energy audit entails, and the benefits that can be gained from the remediating/weatherization opportunities identified in an audit. As with most of our clients, he was surprised to know how many safety hazards existed and how many significant energy saving improvements were identified.
